Cablevision Retains GlobalWorks Group To Enhance Multicultural Advertising Initiatives

Agency Will Initially Focus on Hispanic, African-American Consumers

New York, NY April 11, 2005 -- GlobalWorks Group today announced that it has been retained by Cablevision Systems Corp. to enhance the company's multicultural advertising initiatives, with an initial focus on Hispanic and African-American consumers.

The agency will create broadcast, print, direct and out-of-home advertising for Cablevision's groundbreaking digital services: iO (Interactive Optimum) digital cable, Optimum Online high-speed Internet and Optimum Voice, according to GlobalWorks CEO Yuri Radzievsky. Online media, he said, will be a part of the mix.

The effort will initially target Hispanic and African-American markets, as well as other important emerging markets. Some 35 percent of Cablevision's 4.4 million homes passed are estimated to be Hispanic or African-American.

"Apart from the agency's clear creative and strategic capabilities, we were drawn especially to GlobalWorks Group's ability to create advertising and marketing initiatives that successfully focus on a broad spectrum of multicultural consumers," said Jonathan Hargis, Cablevision's senior vice president of marketing and advertising.

"Given the agency's extensive experience in multicultural markets, we believe GlobalWorks Group will play a key role in demonstrating the value and appeal of our voice, video and high-speed Internet services to the multicultural consumers who represent an extremely significant segment of our service area," Hargis continued.

In addition to offering 30 digital quality Spanish-language channels through iO en Espaņol, Cablevision offers its diverse customer base top programming choices in Russian, Chinese, Korean, German, Portuguese, Japanese, Italian and Polish, as well as programs attuned to the needs of Indian/Southeast Asians. Cablevision also offers its Spanish-language Optimum Online customers the option of an Internet portal entirely in Spanish, at http://optonline.planetatv.com.

"Over the past two years, the product innovation that we've seen from Cablevision has been nothing short of stunning. They are an extremely successful company doing business in the most competitive market in the country. We're looking forward to working with Cablevision to even further broaden their penetration of the multicultural markets that we believe will be very receptive to its digital services," said William Ortiz, president of Globalworks' Multicultural Division and HispanicWorks Division.

The first executions from the new Cablevision campaign should break in the second quarter of this year, Mr. Ortiz said.
