New York, NY May 28, 2008 -- GlobalWorks Group has won three Communicator Awards for TV spots it created for Cablevision Systems Corp.'s Optimum family of digital services, Beatriz Valdes, GlobalWorks Partner and Group Account Director, announced today.
The spots "Reggaeton," "Reggaeton Beach," and "Little Red Riding Hood" each took a silver Award of Distinction in the category of Telecommunications/Internet Service. The Communicator Awards come a month after GlobalWorks received four Telly Awards and two Summit Creative Awards, also for the agency's TV spots for Cablevision. The Communicator Awards make a total of nine creative trophies the agency has received in the past several weeks.

"Being selected by one creative competition after another, from among thousands of worthy entries, adds to the success that our work for Cablevision has already enjoyed in the marketplace. It proves the spots are popular not only with consumers, but also with judges and critics."
The Communicator Awards is the leading international awards program honoring creative excellence for Communications Professionals. Founded by communication professionals 14 years ago, The 2008 Communicator Awards received over 8,000 entries from companies and agencies of all sizes, making it one of the largest awards programs of its kind in the world.
The Communicator Awards is sanctioned and judged by the International Academy of the Visual Arts, an invitation-only body consisting of professionals from acclaimed media, communications, advertising, creative and marketing firms.
The winning spots promote Cablevision's Optimum family of triple-play services: iO Digital Cable, Optimum Voice and Optimum Online. "Reggaeton Beach" has driven enormously successful direct response rates, Ms. Valdes said.
A multicultural creative team at GlobalWorks created the spots. The creative director was born in England; the art director is from Venezuela; the producer is from Puerto Rico; and the copywriter is from the Dominican Republic. The directors of the spots hail from Puerto Rico and Argentina, respectively.
GlobalWorks has handled Cablevision's multicultural advertising in all ethnic markets since April 2005. Based on the crossover success of its multicultural campaigns, Ms. Valdes said, the agency recently made a general market spot for Cablevision.
